HIS Awesome Presence

Image
Hello friends! Today's topic will be about the awesome presence of GOD!  When I say awesome I do not mean rad like this emoji:😎 Awesome is a word I got convicted of not saying many years ago. I realized how much I abused that word! It does not mean rad or cool, in fact, it means something pretty different!  Awesome. Awe some. It means you are in awe of something. That means it brings great fear and trembling yet beauty and wonder at the same time! The word is so powerful. You cannot explain awe. It is something that only happens before our LORD!  Now that we have a better understanding of awesome, we will talk about the awesome presence of GOD!  When we do not sit with GOD and spend time with HIM we will not feel HIS presence. That is why reading Scripture, studying it, memorizing it, journaling, praying, and worshiping HIM is so important!  It is so easy to go about the day thinking its ours and just feel empty. Then we realize it is not and HE opens our eyes and we feel the pres

Victorious Sacrifice!

Hello friends! Today's topic will be about how JESUS' last words on the cross were victorious!  When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. ~ John 19:30 CSB The Greek word for "It is finished" is so powerful! It actually means that debt is paid! They used this word on writings whenever a debt was paid. JESUS' last word on the cross meant that our debt was paid. The word is so beautiful and strong.  Here is what Charles Spurgeon wrote about this word: "It is finished." There is only one Greek word for this utterance of our LORD, although to translate it into English, we have to use three words-an ocean of meaning in a drop of a language. Yet it would need all the other words ever spoken, or can ever be spoken, to explain this one word. It is altogether immeasurable. It is high-I can not attain it. It is deep-I can not fathom it. I always knew that "It is finished," was the end o

Living out HIS life Daily

Image
Hello friends! Today will be a continuation of the series of living HIS life! The first one was on why this is HIS life not ours, the second one was about the disciplines we need to have for living HIS life, and this one will be about how to live out those disciplines!  Its not our life and we do what we want to do and then fit in GOD, its HIS life and we live it out HIS way then add in some extra stuff. A day looks a little different for everybody but at the same time if we are living HIS life there will be things that are the same. For one I believe everyone who is living HIS life should start first thing with HIM! If that means to rise earlier so you have time, then do so!  Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. ~ Mark 1:35 NIV I know mornings you can be pretty tired so I usually tend to do my reading first thing in the morning, not deep dive study.  After you are more awake I suggest doin

Disciplines Living HIS Life

Hello friends! Today's blog will be a continuation from the last one about that this is not our life to live but GOD's! In this blog however, we will be discussing what it looks like to live HIS life. This is not a step by step instruction guide or a to do list, this is a change of our hearts on how we are meant to live! I will be giving you however things as Christians that we need to do in order to live GOD's life.   To start things off, here is a list (I be cautious when using this word as we can misinterpret it as a list of check boxes to do as Christians when it really is just a life change!) of disciplines you must do while living HIS life! Read HIS Word Study HIS Word Memorize HIS Word Journal Worship Pray I will do a brief breakdown of each category! Read HIS Word: This is some beautiful times of the day! You are just washing yourself in HIS Word! This part is reading your Bible. Typically here, I will read quite a bit. Right now I am starting a 6 month Bible

HIS Life, Not Mine

Hello friends! I am beyond excited and grateful to start using my love of writing for HIS glory and to share it with you!  Today's topic is one that is very important to me. To start things off, this blog is not mine. You might be a little confused. Honestly, if you talked to me just a couple years ago I would too! I would say that everything I owned or did was mine. Well friends, I want to let you know that it very much is not! The reason however, will leave you more free than you came in!  Think of it like a play or a musical. You audition and get a part to represent a character. You show the whole world the character's story. At the end of the day, the character really is not you, you were just representing the character. Now, with that same type of mindset, that is us.  Our life is not our own. Everything we do is for GOD. We are living HIS life for HIM! I know at this moment you might be thinking that is not fair or now you cannot do anything you love in life. Well friend,
