Wake up and Weep
Joel 1:5 “Awake, you drunkards, and weep, and wail, all you drinkers of wine, because of the sweet wine, for it is cut off from your mouth.” "Awake, you drunkards, and weep." Oh how much do we get "comfortable" in our sin and make it our lifestyle. I just finished reading Hosea and it was such another wake-up call of conviction. Every single day I never cease to be a whore to this world. Hosea 1:2 “When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, “Go, take to yourself a wife of whoredom and have children of whoredom, for the land commits great whoredom by forsaking the Lord.” Whenever we sin, we are whoring to this world. F riends, let this be a weighty statement. We choose this world over our LORD. This is no light thing. We take the LORD way to casually. Hosea 5:7 “They have dealt faithlessly with the Lord; for they have borne alien children. Now the new moon shall devour them with their fields.”
